What We Collect
BizPlay is built on a minimal-data philosophy. We only collect what is strictly necessary to provide the service. Here is a complete list of everything we store:
Account information provided through Google Sign-In: your display name, email address, and profile photo URL
Gameplay data you generate: play counts per game, star ratings (1–5), and which games you have added to your collections
Anonymous visitor presence data for the live globe feature — only your country is derived from your IP; the IP itself is never stored
User-generated content you voluntarily submit: comments, collection names, and any profile bio text
Device preferences stored only on your own device via localStorage: chosen colour theme, accent colour, and card display size
We do not collect your real name, phone number, address, payment information, or any sensitive personal data.
How We Use Your Data
Every piece of data we hold serves a specific purpose related to running BizPlay:
Your account info powers your profile page, public display name, and avatar
Gameplay data builds your personal stats and feeds the global leaderboards
Country presence data populates the live visitor globe on the homepage
Comments are moderated automatically to keep the community safe
We never use your data for advertising profiling, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside BizPlay and its direct service providers (Firebase/Google).
Embedded Games
Games on BizPlay are embedded from third-party providers including GameDistribution, GamePix, Playgama, and others. Each game runs inside an iframe that may have access to its own cookies and local storage.
These providers operate under their own privacy policies. BizPlay has no visibility into or control over any data those providers may collect within the game iframe. We recommend checking the publisher's policy for games you play regularly.
BizPlay itself loads no advertising or tracking scripts.
Cookies & Local Storage
BizPlay does not use advertising cookies. Here is exactly what is stored in your browser:
Firebase Auth session cookie — set by Firebase Authentication to keep you logged in. Expires when you sign out
biz-theme, biz-accent, biz-card-size — localStorage keys for your visual preferences. Never sent to a server
biz-ai-* — your personal AI API keys if you have configured them in Settings. Stored only on your device
You can clear all localStorage data at any time from your browser's dev tools or by visiting Settings → clear preferences.
Firebase & Infrastructure
BizPlay is built on Google Firebase, which provides:
Firebase Authentication — handles Google Sign-In securely. We never see your Google password
Cloud Firestore — stores your profile, play data, ratings, and collections
Cloudflare Pages — hosts the static frontend. Cloudflare may log standard web access logs (IP, user-agent) per their own policy
Firebase services are governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Data is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. Specifically:
Account profile, play history, and ratings are kept indefinitely while your account exists
Comments you delete are removed from public display immediately
Anonymous globe data is aggregated and not linked to your account
When you delete your account, all Firestore data associated with your user ID is permanently removed within 30 days
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. Regardless of your location, BizPlay grants you the following:
Access — contact us and we will send you a copy of all data we hold about you
Correction — your display name and avatar are managed through Google; update them there and they sync to BizPlay
Deletion — delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes all your data from our database
Portability — request an export of your data via email
